Paisley Abbey…..Forthcoming Concerts
The summer series of music in Paisley Abbey continues with three outstanding concerts in July and August.
Friday, 19 July at 7.30pm………
The Halle Youth Choir
The Hallé Youth Choir was established in 2003 and has swiftly become recognised as one of the leading mixed-voice youth choirs in the country. Membership is for talented young singers across the North West region aged 13-19 years.
Since its creation the Youth Choir has covered a wide range of diverse repertoire. Highlights from recent seasons include performing Uri Caine’s world premiere Scenes from Childhood with Uri and the Hallé at The Bridgewater Hall, and performing alongside the Hallé and Hallé Choir in a performance of Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.2, ‘Lobgesang’ as part of the 2009 BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
