Cadzow Parish Church, Hamilton, is home to the Cadzow Music Arts Centre (CMAC). Striving to be a centre of exellence locally and promoting various types of Arts projects. We are delighted to be organising this in partnership with CMAC and look forward to may more events in the future.

The Choir of The Academy of Sacred Music
will be performing the world première of a new work,
A Soldier’s Requiem, by Julian Hodgson,
written for the centenary of The First World War.
The performance will be conducted by the Composer and will feature
a selection of other works which capture the horror, bravery, sacrifice
and sympathy inspired by The Great War amongst some of our
most celebrated poets and composers, including:
They are at rest (Elgar);
Funeral Ikos (Tavener);
Lead Kindly Light (Goodall);
The Road Not Taken (Thompson);
Songs of Farewell (Parry);
& pieces by Hodgson, Daley, Harris, Jenkins and Nardone.

David Hamilton one of the LSO members is doing the complete organ works of Franck on Wednesdays 17, 24 & 31 October at 7pm in St Aloysius Church, Glasgow.

‘This special series of three organ recitals will see renowned musician David Hamilton perform the complete organ works of César Franck, performed on an instrument built in the style of Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, the great 19th-century French organ builder. These recitals are supported by Alliance Française de Glasgow.’
